12-52/2012 ~ University of Wisconsin Arboretum
FOLDER 52March ~ week 12The University of Wisconsin ArboretumI've always had a thing for magnolia trees, or "tulip trees" as I call them. After many rounds of chemotherapy robbed me of most of my sense of smell several years ago, I recently found I could actually catch the faint aroma of these fabulous plants. At the UW Arboretum, there are acres of magnolias at the Longenecker Gardens...this year blooming very early due to unseasonably warm weather. I drove 2 hours with my husband and a friend to shoot these trees...and after finding the perfect spot to sit and soak in the stunning beauty, I shot it....and after a magical CS3 tweak, into folder 52 it goes...
